Connect Dovey to Claude
With Dovey connected, Claude finds the winning ads in your category and your competitors', writes a brief from them and makes new ads in your brand. You approve, skip or change each one in plain words.
How to connect

Open Connectors in Claude
Settings, then Connectors. On the desktop app it is the same screen.

Add a custom connector
Choose Add custom connector, name it Dovey and paste this address.

Sign in to Dovey
Click Add. Claude opens a Dovey sign-in. Use the email you signed up with. A free account works.

Turn Dovey on in a new chat
Open the tools menu in the chat, the plus or the sliders icon, and switch Dovey on. It stays on for that chat.

Add the Dovey server
In a terminal, run this once.

Sign in once
Start Claude Code, type
/mcp, choose dovey and Authenticate. A browser window opens to sign in to Dovey. - 03

Run

Returns the top performing ads, with the angles and hooks that score best.

Returns a brief: one row per ad, each with its angle, its hook and the ad it borrows from.
Make the 5 ads in my brand with my product photo
Makes the ads in your colors, type and voice. You approve or skip each one in the chat.
Change the second ad: warmer light and the price in the headline
Makes a new version of that ad. The first one stays as it was.
Questions
Does Dovey work in Claude Desktop and on the phone?
Yes. A connector added on claude.ai is available in the desktop and mobile apps under the same account.
Does Claude send anything to Meta or to creators?
No. Dovey reads public ads and public posts and makes the ads you ask for, and no creator is messaged. Publishing straight to Meta ads is coming soon. Until then, you export your ads and upload them in Ads Manager.
What does it cost?
The connector is free to add. Free has limited usage and needs no card. Pro is $29 a month with 12x usage and Max is $99 a month with 60x usage. Usage resets every Monday.
Can I use it in Claude Code?
Yes, with one command: claude mcp add --transport http dovey https://api.makedovey.com/mcp. The Claude Code tab above has the steps.
The Dovey tools do not show up in my chat
The connector is added to your account but switched on per chat. Open the tools menu in the chat and turn Dovey on.
Claude says it cannot access the tool
The sign-in expired. Open Settings, Connectors, Dovey and choose Reconnect.
Does it work on the free Claude plan?
No. Custom connectors are not available on the free Claude plan. Use the ChatGPT connector or Dovey on the web instead.
